Above I expanded Alexis Trice’s painting “Pfielstorch” to twice its original size and laid out this cover in accordance with Willow Spring’s aesthetic, which I helped develop for the Alexis Trice series of covers.

Alt Text: Image shows two spot images in black and white on white background. The top spot image depicts two fish being pierced by a spear. The lower spot image shows an eel and a fish being pierced by a spear. Both images were isolated from Alexis Trice's painting “Pfielstorch."

Alt Text: Image shows the bird from Alexis Trice's painting “Pfielstorch” isolated from the rest of the painting. The image is in black and white on a white background and shows a Pfielstorch with its neck pierced by a spear. The spear also pierces the bodies of three fish and an eel.

An ad I designed that ran in the Gettysburg Review. It required reversing the wrap-around effect of the original cover by seamlessly joining the other side of the image.
