Ponyo Homage

In this painting based on a scene from Studio Ghibli's Ponyo, a boy with medium-dark skin floats over a girl with light skin, his face inches from hers. The girl wears a surprised expression and looks as if she has just taken a step backwards. The boy wears a yellow polo and khaki shorts. The girl wears a pink dress with a white colar and has a green plastic bucket over her arm, the side of which is decorated with a simple orange fish. A brown and white cat floats beneath the boy and looks unhappy to be in the air. Behind them are fluffy cloud and under the girl's feet is sparse green grass.
